An approximately 12" cable is required if you want ethernet capabilities on a Helix 9, Helix 10, Helix 12, 700, 800, 900 and 1100 Series Humminbird product. If you are connecting one Helix 9, Helix 10, Helix, 12, 788, 798, 859, 899, 959, 999, 1159, and 1199 Series product with another Helix 9, Helix 10, Helix 12, 788, 798, 859, 899, 959, 999, 1159, and 1199 series product, you will require two of these cables and a AS EC 2, 10, 20, or 30 foot ethernet cable. If you are connecting one Helix 9, Helix 10, Helix 12, 788, 798, 859, 899, 959, 999, 1159 and 1199 Series product with either a 858, 898, 958, 998, 1157, 1158, 1197, 1198 or Series product, you will only need one of these adapters plus one of the AS EC2, 10, 20 or 30 foot Ethernet cables. Software updates on some 700 HD and some 800, 900 and 1100 Series products may be necessary also.
